The internal and external cleaning of the motor should be carried out regularly. The frequency of cleaning depends on the working environment conditions of the unit. When cleaning, the following procedure should be followed:
Cut off the power and wipe off any dust, oil, water, or other liquids on the surface of the motor. Because these substances can have an impact on the coil, causing the motor to heat up and damaging the insulation. These substances on the ventilation screen should also be wiped away. The accumulation of the above-mentioned substances on the ventilation screen is not allowed to affect air circulation. It is best to use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and other substances. Because a vacuum cleaner is used, dust will not fall into other parts of the unit. Do not use compressed air, steam, or high-pressure faucets to clean the motor. Cleaning the motor coil should also use a vacuum cleaner, which can remove dust accumulation on the coil that cannot be wiped by a cloth.
